HashNotes v1.6 Updated for iOS 13
HashNotes v1.6 Updates:
ICLOUD SYNC WILL NOT WORK WITH THIS VERSION.
This release is an iOS 12/13 compatibility update only and was made available only for accessing local device data and backup purposes. Use the email button to backup all your notes by sending an email copy to yourself. Please use the link below for more information.
Future versions of HashNotes will most like not be released SO BACK UP YOUR DATA PLEASE. However, I may release a second “Version 2” of HashNotes separately which includes an updated iCloud data sync, but your data will not come along with that. You could backup from this version and restore to version 2, though.
Why no iCloud in this version (HashNotes 1) ??
Because Apple updated iCloud Core Data restrictions and functionally to be much more resilient , but after iOS 7 they removed something important I used in HashNotes Core Data identification. They removed the use of the period character in the name, and I named the app’s Core Data key with a period in it way back in iOS 5 when iCloud sync first became available. (iOS 5 and 6 was extremely buggy with Core Data in iCloud) I cannot remove that period character in the name while keeping users access to data. You would lose your data! Also, because Apple disallows the period character when using Core Data sync, I would have no way to pull in any of that data. (at least not without using an iOS 6 device, and I don’t even have access to develop on anything like that anymore!)
